Manchester City announced on Tuesday via their social media accounts that John Stones will leave the club at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Stones has spent 10 years at the Etihad Stadium, having joined the Citizens in 2016.
In a video posted to his Instagram account, Stones said: “They say everything good must come to an end, but this has been the best and will always be a part of me.”
He added: “This place has been my home for the last 10 years and will be my home for the rest of my life. I came as a kid and now I’m leaving as a man.”
The 31-year-old continued: “When I first started my career here, I never imagined I’d be in this position, not only to achieve everything, but also to love working with everyone. This is my club forever and always will be, and I can’t find the words to express how I feel and how much I love everything about it.”
