Benfica manager Jose Mourinho has denied reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
“No, no one from Real Madrid has spoken to me, I can confirm that,” Mourinho told a press conference on Friday.
The Portuguese coach added that he would not comment further on the matter, noting that his contract with Benfica is still valid for another year.
Alvaro Arbeloa has been in charge of Real Madrid since January, but is under pressure after their elimination from the Copa del Rey and their Champions League quarter-final exit.
In La Liga, Real Madrid are currently second, 11 points behind leaders Barcelona, who could clinch the title this weekend.
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, winning the league title in 2012.
