US President Donald Trump asserted on Sunday that a war with Iran would end soon and that the United States would emerge victorious.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump stated, “I think the war with Iran will end very soon, and we will come out victorious.” He added, “We have to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. They cannot have a nuclear weapon.”
Trump affirmed that Washington would acquire Iran’s “nuclear dust” as part of the negotiations. He also noted that “some of the people we are dealing with now regarding Iran are very rational, and some of the people are not.”

He expressed his hope that “Iran will be smart,” adding, “If Iran wants to talk, they can call us.” The US president continued, “Look at what we did with Venezuela and look at what we did with Iran… It’s destructive.”
Trump said that “NATO has not stood with us on Iran.”
